Dr Enrico Parmegiani

Dr Enrico Parmegiani graduated with honours in a combined Arts and Medicine degree in 1987 (University of Sydney). He trained in psychiatry in the South Western Sydney Area Health Service. He became a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 1999.

Dr Enrico Parmegiani completed a Master degree in Criminology with the Law School, University of Sydney, and obtained a diploma in Forensic Psychiatry through the NSW Institute of Psychiatry.

Dr Enrico Parmegiani began working in private practice in 1999, as well as a Visiting Medical Officer to the New England Area Health Service. In the past he has worked as a consultant psychiatrist to the Australian Army, and as a consultant in addiction psychiatry at the Northside Clinic in Greenwich.

He currently continues to work in private practice in general adult and forensic psychiatry, and holds the position of Medical Superintendant at the Tamworth Base Hospital, Hunter-New England Area Health Service.

He is an accredited registrar supervisor with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry, and is a Conjoint Lecturer in Psychiatry at the University of Newcastle.
